A study in Nociception

Goals:
Research the different types of stimuli nociceptors can sense
Design an armor that harms the user as much as it helps them
Explore how nociceptors can be stimulated mechanically
Use only recycled, found, or scrap materials
This study helped me explore different avenues and the importance of being a designer. I think of design as a tool to help people, so designing something with the intention of causing pain was an interesting change of pace. Looking at this from an artistic perspective, I wanted to create something that shows physically how painful it can be for people to open themselves up to others.
